Alasdair Ibbotson

Alasdair Ibbotson

Alasdair is a Senior Constituency Caseworker for the Rt Hon Mark Tami MP. Alasdair’s knowledge and interest in the workings of Universal Credit, combined with his past voluntary work at the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, resulted in a change of law for people reaching state pension age. His outstanding work identifying an issue with Universal Credit led to Alasdair creating a campaign which gained national media interest and resulted in Government changing the law, making a huge difference to the lives of pensioners across the country. Working for an opposition MP, Alasdair’s successful campaign and change in the law has left pensioners £70m better off in the UK.
